Digital Creation


Digital creation is the process of turning developed printed photographs into digital JPEG, TIFF, PNG or RAW format. This means they can be used on any digital medium or can be enlarged to a larger size and reprinted

   


How it works: You send us your prints through the post along with your name, address, email and telephone contact and instructions. We will notify you when we have received them, then we set to work.

Most people are familiar with the term JPEG, this is the format in which we will send you your final images (unless a different format has been requested and agreed). We transfer images to our computers in a RAW format. We do this because RAW images have greater colour depth and give smoother gradations of tones and more colours to work with as we make adjustments. How many more is astronomical, 281,474,976,710,656 different colours to be precise, where as a JPEG can at maximum only hold 16,777,216. We then undergo any brightening or colour enhancement that is required then finally we convert the images to JPEG, or the agreed format, and place your images on CD.

We will then send your new digital images and original prints back to you.
